And another good-bye!

Last night we had to say good-bye too 2 more of our church missionaries.  They are off to another adventure in Poland.  One is off to Poznan and another is off to Szczecin.  We also had 2 new missionaries come into our church while we were back in the US on holiday so it was finally time to really meet them in an informal setting.

What is the best way to say “Hi” and “Good-bye”?  With food of course!  So once again it was another BBQ in our backyard and another good-bye.  Have I mentioned I L-O-V-E this new house that we are in? Moments like this being more or less forced to move in June was a blessing in disguise.

The night would not be complete unless there was sword fight.

Lovely "L" made apple pie for dessert as one of the missionaries was wanting one. It looked almost to pretty to eat. BUT of course we did and it tasted as good as it looked.

Good old American BBQ food. Time to eat!

Elder Allen, we are going to miss you too! I think the UN will be calling you in 2 years to be linguist! I can not believe he has only been in Poland for 4 months and his Polish is AMAZING! He can carry a conversation about anything in Polish. I would love to know 10% of what he does.

Who is up for a good song?

A priceless moment!

Apple pie and root beer floats. Does it get any more American than this?

Elder Vernon, it has been wonderful having you last couple months. I know you are going to go on and do wonderful things!

It was another GREAT dinner with these guys.  I love this guys like they were my own son, so I am going miss them a lot.  But I know God has bigger and better plans for them.  But the positive side, that means 2 new missionaries with be coming on Thursday to join us!

So if you happen to be LDS (aka Mormon), I cannot tell you the blessings you get when you have missionaries in your home for dinners.  I know some of you come from huge wards and you are lucky if you get to feed them once every two months or you might be in a small branch like we are and you could feed them almost every night, try to feed them as much as you can.  My house just transforms even more positive when these young men walk through our doors.

Are you a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? If you are how often do you have the missionaries over to your house? Do you notice any blessings when you do?
