What started my fun weekend was a Friday night with my lady friends! I am organizing a charity dinner for a local charity/auction here in Bydgoszcz and the other day I helping finalize the menu for the dinner where we having it. Well the restaurant, Pod Papugami(if you need a good laugh, Google translate it to English), I guess does these dancing/music dinner nights. They happen to have a Egyptian night flyer up. So quick asked about it and then I quickly got on my phone and did some calls to friends to have a ladies night out(my hubby was out-of-town on business).
Friday night I realized as 8 different friends from completely different walks of my life(church, my kid’s school, my husband’s job and a blog reader) sat around the table how completely blessed I am. Living in a foreign country it is completely easy to isolate yourself and make yourself miserable but because of friends like these, I am truly in no hurry to leave Poland!!
Well back to the show….

And the show begins

Her name is Samira and dancing is her game! Boy she can move her hips in ways I can only dream about.

She can change outfits faster than I put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

After a new dances out came Kimo. This guy smiled the entire night!! My cheeks hurt just thinking about it.

On to the fan dance.

The hair dance. Yes she swung her neck and hair for a good portion of a song. We were holding our necks by the time she was done with this song.

Yet another amazing dance.

I am still trying to figure out how she can move one part of her body and not more another.

Kimo’s circle dance. YES, he swirled around for several minutes not stopping, CRAZY!!!

He kept going….

and going….

and going…now turning on some lights in his clothes.

After what seems like eternity, he finally finishes.

Then he pulled a few people from the audience to try it. Here one of my friends giving it a try. Yeah, it is not as easy as it looks.

After about an hour’s worth of dancing, it was time to try some food. First up, curried chicken been soup. This was AMAZING!! I could have taken a liter or 2 of this home.

Next up, another chicken dish. I can’t remember what was all in it except for chicken, peppers, zucchini and other stuff served with couscous. This was good too!

Last up, this desert. Not a clue what it was, just that is was delicious and made me rethink the charity dinner desert bar.

What a great way to spend the evening with a GREAT group of ladies! Here we are trying to figure out how to eat the desert.

I cannot remember the last time I did a ladies night out but I defiantly need to do it more than once every couple of years.
I already know what my husband and I will be doing one of our date nights in November, Pod Pagugami is doing a Portuguese night. If it is anything like this night, it is going to be a fun night.
I was not compensated in any way by the restaurant for this post, I just had that good of a night and enjoyed the food that much.
What is your favorite music to dance too? I am a mix of club music and country. Strange huh?
