BINGO Time

One of the fun things I miss about the US is the game BINGO!

Growing up in North Dakota bingo was a game that was played quite often for fundraisers with church groups, youth groups or other charity groups.  But also this game is taken so seriously in the US that there are bingo halls that hold several hundred people at a time playing the game like this….

So yesterday I helped organize a bingo game with the other wives from my husband job and showed them what this game was all about.  These ladies were from 6 different countries, only the 2 ladies from Canada had heard of the game before.  So it was fun to show them what it is all about.  By the time we were playing the 3rd game they were totally getting the hang of it.

Since I was not able to a bingo set here in Poland, ping pong balls work wonderful as substitute balls. The bingo sheets I ordered from a company because there is no way I was to make that many sheets on my own.

It was so quite you could hear a pin drop.

We played 14 games and I came so close on a few of them but in the end I only won once.

Here making the "T" for the win.

It is amazing how seriously even these ladies where getting into the game like the US.  I have a strong hunch that we will doing this again soon which is fine with me as I accidentally order 3x the amount of bingo cards I meant too as I thought there was 1 card per stack not 3.  Oops!

Are you a bingo person?
