“C” is for Cookie

Another perk of this time of year is Christmas baking!

Growing up my mother, my grandmothers, aw heck every mother I knew baked cookies, candy and all sorts of sweets during the holiday season.  So yes, I had to continue the tradition in my family.

This year we had a bit more fun as I had the Young Women(12-18 year olds girls) from our church come over Friday night and we had a cookie making party to get ready for the church Christmas party on Saturday.

It was fun teach the Polish girls the difference between US measurements and Polish measurements.

I can't believe this is our last Christmas with "L" living at home. I am going to miss things like this.

And I am getting the hang of where to shop for all my usual ingredients unlike this time last year! The only thing I can’t find locally was Hershey Kisses for my Peanut Butter Blossoms but luckily a good friend mailed me a good box with some in it so I could make some.

What tradition do you do in your family for the holiday season?
