Dutch McDonald’s

Of course a holiday with kids means at least one stop here..

Mickey D's!

Dutch McDonald’s

Last week we were in The Netherlands for a holiday of sorts.  But one of the neatest things was at one of the McDonald’s we stopped at one day.  OK, I know the outside looks neat but is was the ordering part that was.  I have never been to one where you can order via a computer monitor!  Yes, as you can see it does not take much to make me happy.

As my Dutch is a bit rusty, I just walked up to the screen and hit English and the rest was a piece of cake! I just hit the pictures of all the different food we wanted, inserted my credit card and 30 seconds later I was done!

This receipt is printed out and then it is just waiting time.

This side of the counter is where I picked up my order. How easy is that?

I waited a whole minute and my number showed up on the screen and I walked up and got it.  How easy is that?  The only bad part was that I forgot to order ketchup. (at Dutch McDonald’s you pay for ketchup, uugghh!)  I guess I am being spoiled in Poland not paying for ketchup.

Are you a fast food junky?  I know it is not healthy at all but I love a McDonald’s cheeseburger any day!

    That is sooooo cool!

  2. Are you originally from Pennsylvania? One of your daily sites mentioned that your drive from Boleslawiec to Bydgoczsz looked like Pennsylvania. It was amusing to me b/c when I visit Poland in September, a friend will accompany me. I told her that we will be travelling thru Slovakia and Poland, both of which look just like Pennsylvania. I said can’t you just wait, to travel half way around the world and……..it is just like Pennsylvania. Anyhow, after we leave Bydgoczsz, we will be heading towards Boleslawiec. Will review your article again for the various potteries in Boles..as I generally only go to two of them which might have been on your list. Thanks for great and interesting articles, look forward to them. Pat Palko
