Fog + Spiders = A fun walk

This morning I figured out the first negative of living out in the country, if you want to call it a negative.

When there is fog you do not see a thing in front of you!

I cannot see in front of me!

I cannot see in front of me!

But the positive of the fog in the country, it brings out the spiders webs.

They are too beautiful not to take my camera with me when I am taking the dog for walk in the field near my house.

Let the spider webs begin.

Let the spider webs begin.

Love this too.

And guess what? It is mushroom season here!

Snails are out in full force as well the last couple of weeks.

My flowers are full of webs as well.

And my grass.

And my grass.

The spider webs are everywhere!

I guess it is that time of year because a year ago yesterday I did a post about the spiders at our old house.

I am still not a big fan of spiders but they sure make beautiful webs.

Are you a spider lover or you the person that instantly steps on them?

There is a Polish proverb: “Happy house where spiders are.” :) And there is a bit of truth in that: spiders eat many dangerous organisms vegetating in the house.

I like some spiders. Used to have a phobia over them, but overcame as I gardened more and more. Just get creeped out by black widows now. I had those webs all over after a fog here in central Oklahoma Sunday morning. Fascinating. I am trying to learn if there is something about the fog that makes spiders make webs. I couldn’t see any spiders in the web or else they were quite small. Others in my area commented on seeing them also on the foggy morning.
