Is that a Goose?

It is the time of year here in Bydgoszcz where a lot of restaurants serve a lot of goose dishes and I love goose, so I am in heaven now when we eat out.  The other weekend there was a festival just outside of town that was all about goose, I was so there!

The girls and I along with a friend and her daughter we head down there to check it out.  It was absolutely worth the 40 minute drive to it.

It was one of the funnest 4 hours that I have had in a long time.  It was a good thing that I went with a friend who likes to try new foods as much as I do as we split all of the food in half so we could try twice as much!

Growing up my family hunted and ate Canadian Geese quite often so living in Poland and eating all this delicious food made be a bit homesick.

Do you eat goose?  If so, what is your favorite way to eat it?  I was brought up just roasting it but after this festival I am going to have to say…in pierogi’s!

love kelley
