While they may not celebrate the 4th of July here in Poland but they do celebrate Constitution Day, which is today! So like my growing up days in North Dakota celebrating at the lake or in our backyard a great holiday we can still do the same here in Poland. But unlike North Dakota, Poland has beaches!!! So we drove just shy of 2 hours north of us to Gdansk and hung out at the beach. The girls had a great time playing in the sand and water and Jim and I had a great time getting a tan and talking.
The girls are too smart for their own good as they gently reminded me to pack the sunscreen that I got in the mail as a sample a few weeks ago from TruKid. So needless to say once we picked our spot to layout of towels out came the sunscreen.
As my 16 year old said, “OMG this smells good.” I can’t argue with her on that one, the smell is an AMAZING citrus!! I loved the fact that I did not have to get lotion all over my fingers, I could just rub it on straight from the stick. Not only am I in love with the smell and ease of putting it on it but TruKid’s Sunny Days SPF 30+ water resistant is a great way to enjoy the outdoors safely. Truly all natural, this mineral-based sunscreen protects from both UVA/UVB rays. While the directions say to reapply every 40 minutes for best protection, they played for an hour and half and NO sunburn!
And that was our view looking back at the beach as we left. AMAZING huh?
But of course when ever you go to a beach, you have sand everywhere! So as soon as we walked into the house, off to the showers the girls went.
For the past week or so the girls have been using Bubbly Body Wash from TruKid has an uplifting aroma in a mild coconut derived cleanser. This is a mild, safe cleanser for skin that effectively removes surface oil, and dirt without stripping or drying sensitive skin. I even enjoy the smell of the body wash that I sneaked it in my shower a time or two!
The best part of TruKid is that they are made in the USA!
AND guess what? Today Jim and I found our Polish vacation house today!
So what do you to celebrate the 4th of July or your countries comparable holiday?
