Happy Easter – Wesołych Świąt

I want to wish all of you a very happy and blessed Happy Easter or as they say here in Poland…Wesołych Świąt!

Today we had the typical Easter dinner with family and friends.  “E” made a typical Polish vegetable salad that she learned a few weeks ago in cooking class and I made a new Polish dish that they eat as a condiment with ham here that is made with beets & horseradish.

"A" busy at work making cheesy hashbrowns like we used to eat at Cracker Barrel back in the US.

What Easter dinner would not be complete without deviled eggs?

"E" had to decorate her vegetable salad to make it look pretty.

I love being able to celebrate holidays with others like us who don't have family around;

One thing that is easy though to forget today with all the food, family, Easter baskets and such is what makes this day special!

He has risen for us!

If you click the picture you can watch a short movie and see what makes this day so special to my family! It is based on the Apostle John provides his eyewitness account of the last events in the Savior’s life and his Resurrection.

What is favorite part of the Easter season for you? Me, LOVE knowing the religious aspect of this holiday season how much it has blessed my life!
