Have you ever wondered?

Have you ever wondered?

So yesterday I am not sure where my brain was because was having some of the craziest thoughts like…

I drove behind this yesterday and was thinking, what would happen if one of those logs fell out?

It had been raining all night and most of the day, so the snails were out in full force and that got me thinking...What do snails really eat?

Now this! My hubby bought this at some roadside stand on his way to the Warsaw airport to drop our son off a couple of weeks. It plugs in and lights up. So every I walk through my rose garden like I did today and I wonder is this cute or so ugly that it is cute?

I had to head to the mall today to get a going away present for a friend of my husband. When I go to the bookstore, I always walk through the magines and looking at the cooking ones even though they are in Polish. Well today I found these magazines and guess what? They were in English! They were not cheap but I did not care because they were in ENGLISH!! I have seen Vogue in English there before but food and house one, nope! So then that got me thinking...who else buys these in Bydgoszcz? I wonder if I hang out to see who picks them up and start a conversation with them, if the store would notice?

You don’t want to know. ;)

Anyway it’s unlikely to happen, I’m more worried the whole truck can fall on it’s side (and a car there) on a turn or roundabout.

    > is this cute or so ugly that it is cute?

One vote for ugly. And quite kitsch.

    > who else buys these in Bydgoszcz?

I guess mostly students learning English. I had to buy Russian newspaper and summarize an article a few times when I was in school.

    > How am I going to survive when I leave Poland?

You should learn how to make your own pierogi. :)

May I recommend placki ziemniaczane (potato pies) as well? I remember the story how Polish troops in military base in Afghanistan (I think) bored of usual food taught the cook how to prepare potato pies. Soon it become a hit among soldiers from every nation in the base. :)

I always wondered how did we named orange colour before we know oranges. I mean: they don’t grow in our climate, long long time ago our ancestors never seen them. (Yes, in Polish name of the colour also comes from the fruit).

If you want to read more magazines in English, you should go to Emipk. In Focus Park. They once had a large selection.
