Hi Ho Hi Ho Off to the Gdansk Airport I Go!

The last week my husband was up in Norway for a conference and yesterday he came home!  The flight home was to Gdansk which is about an hour and 45 minutes from the house instead of our local airport.  So I loaded up the little ones and off we went to pick him up.

It is an easy drive especially at 10:30 in the morning when there is no traffic!

Since the traffic was light the girls and I took a few pictures of our drive from Bydgoszcz to Gdansk.

The name of this restaurant is priceless!

I could drive down roads like this for hours!!

A NEW country road.

Tolls roads make traveling so much easier and faster in Poland!

LOVE the fall colors.

A rest stop along the highway. With a 5 & 7 year old of course there is going to be at least one stop along the way!

America is everywhere!

Toll road ticket stops.

Welcome to Gdansk.

I could handle a ride like this anytime.

Gdansk airport.

We stopped at Ikea and this how you order and pay for your food at the snack bar area! You just touch the picture. Is this not one of the coolest things?

It was my first trip driving up to the Gdansk airport by myself and I am proud to say I only had to turn around once!  That was because I was on the phone talking with a friend who was telling me that I there  was an article about me and this blog in a local Bydgoszcz paper!  (more about that in the next post!)  So I totally missed my turn to highway but luckily I only had to drive about an extra 4 minutes.

What has been your biggest mistake when driving?

  1. I LOVE all the pictures you take! It helps quench my wanderlust without having to leave the comforts of my house (although I’d leave the comforts in a heartbeat if I could travel!) :)

I’m glad you and the kids made it to the airport with little problems!
