I Hate Good-Byes!
I know my posts have not been much as of lately but it has been a bit crazy in our house!
First I mentioned the other day, we found out the other week that we have to move out of our house. So we have been busy looking at houses. Well I think we finally have one!! We are working on our rental agreement with our new potential landlord and hopefully by this weekend we will have a signed lease!! The past couple of nights instead of blogging, we have been doing this…
BUT what has kept us really busy is getting our adopted kid, Rachael moved out. She found out that the volleyball team that she plays for here, KS Palac released her as of Tuesday. The team’s 2013 season ended last week, so we knew it was coming just not when for sure. Well yesterday was the day she flew out. So we have spent the last couple days packing up her apartment, getting her bank stuff and other Polish stuff organized as she is off to the states to practice this summer with the US National team. So this is what the past couple of days with Rachael has looked like.
Now where is she going to continue her professional volleyball career this fall, that is still up in the air but whatever she decides it I think it is a GREAT one.
So to Rachael(I know you read my blog!) It is not a real good-bye as we will being seeing you sooner than later! I know I have said it to you a million times but thanks for all the laughs, the tears, the smiles, the 01:00 door bell rings, the emergency phone calls to help get you out of a crazy Polish train situations, the great lunches, family nights, introducing me to the world of volleyball and most importantly thanks for being a part of our family the last 8 months!! I never imagined THIS simple lunch would lead to all of this!!
What has been your hardest good-bye to say to someone? Me, my dad when I first moved out the house, just newly married and moving to Berlin Germany. I think it was the first time I had ever seen him cry.
