Last Friday is one of the highlights of living here and my husband working at the military base here. Every year they do a International Day event. People from the different countries that work here can do a booth with food, drinks, activities or whatever else they want to do that shows people what their country is all about. Not all countries participate in this but most do which is always fun.
Time to set up our American booth. Lots of red, white and blue!
What is more American than Dum-Dum suckers? I had to take 2 of my favorite flavors. Oh, my childhood memories.
Yes, there are a big difference in American hot dogs and Polish hot dogs, especially bbq’d on the grill.
American soda’s were a hit. Not sure if they were a hit because of the heat or the taste?
The booth next to us was cooking this amazing stew.
Next up the Dutch booth, pure heaven!! Fresh stroopelwafels & pofferejes!
Pofferjes fresh off the grill!
Now time to eat a WARM & FRESH off the grill stroopelwafel. One of my favorite past-times of living in The Netherlands.
These Greek ladies sure know how to cook some amazing food!
The Georgian booth was hard at working grilling this meat. The smell was wonderful.
Estonian’s are AMAZING cooks too! Black pudding and fried black bread are delicious.
The Bulgarian’s food was just as amazing.
The Spanish booth is always fun!
The Czech ladies make these cookies for a lot of events and every time I hard time eating them as they are just to pretty to eat.
My favorite food at the whole event…Slovakian dumpling like things! I really think we need to move to Slovakia just so I can eat this everyday.
One of the things I have been blessed with while living here in Poland is making some amazing and dear friends from all parts of the world I never imagined I would ever meet. Can see the wonderful sunburn I got from all my yard work earlier in the week?
Yes, I went back for seconds!
At our US booth we did tattoo’s too which was hit by all the kids.
The weather was beyond wonderful that day!
While I enjoyed sampling all the food, the kids were busy playing over here.
We had a great day with great food and great friends!
What is one of your favorite international food to eat?
