International Food and Fun!
Last Friday was a F-U-N day for us! Where the hubby works they did a International Day fair type thing since they have people from all over Europe, US and Canada. Most of the different countries did a booth where they showed different traditions, handed out information and most importantly FOOD!! I love sampling food when we travel to different countries, so this was perfect as I am sure there will be a few countries that I will never make it too.
AMAZING Slovakian food!
My cupcakes with buttercream frosting are hit!
This is Czech pickled sausages. Interesting and good.
Next up Spain! I was getting really full by now.
We had the most AMAZING weather that day!
The Germans serving military soup. Yet another good eat.
Everyone I think had a great time.
My family comparing who is getting more of a sunburn. Not sure who won my son or my husband. They were both tomatoes when we left.
The US kid goodie bags that we handed out
One of custom Polish pottery pieces that I had made for the auction at the event.
Our first bidder!
Items that the kids made from the local orphanage that the International Spouses club supports. We took donations for people to purchase these items.
My oldest two helped put on temporary tattoo’s on people as they came to the booth.
Guess where the kids spent most of the afternoon?
Did I mention we had AMAZING weather on Friday?
My little one taking a break for the fun. Believe it or not but I bought this cute dress from a store right here in town.
More AMAZING food but this time from Albania!
It is so neat to see my kids speaking Polish to their friends. Never in my wildest dreams I would have ever thought this!
While living over here there are a few negatives but days like this is one of the perks of living in a foreign country and learning about different cultures.
Well it time to starting planning next years US booth. When you think of the US what food comes to mind?
