Need a Cozy Apartment in Poznan, Poland?
So a few weeks ago the hubby ran the Poznan Half-Marathon along with several other of his friends that he talked into running.
Like I have mentioned before one of the main ways we see Europe is from the different marathons my husband runs. Poznan was the next city for us to explore. It is less than a 2 hour drive from us but we decided why not make a weekend of it. We are a HUGE fans of apartments with the size of our family, so I headed over to Airbnb.com to see what or if I could find an apartment for us. Well I found a GREAT one! I found one called Cozy apartment /City Center, it looked perfect for us. So I put in a request to book the apartment and in a matter of a couple of hours the owner, Iza replied back saying the apartment was available for the weekend.
This was my first time ever using Airbnb but if all the owners are like Iza, I am going to book every trip through this site. She was AMAZING!! I have to say one of the friendliest people I think I have met here in Poland so far. Every time I emailed her a question she replied in no time.
When it came for the day of our arrival I just sent her a text about an hour from us being there to give her a heads up and she was there waiting for us. She gave us good directions to get to her apartment but silly us thought our GPS would give us better ones, WRONG!!! Oh, the joys of not having updated maps on our GPS in Poland!
So I will have to admit, you know what your mother said, “don’t judge a book but it’s cover?” Well the same to applies to apartments here in Poland. Because when we walked inside this is what we saw…..
Now once I got over the shock of the wonderful smelling lemon loaf, I checked out the rest of the apartment.
Now if you are wondering why the apartment looks so lived in? It is because she lives there! When she is away for the weekend or if she is traveling she rents out her apartment. She has everything you need if you forgot to pack something. There is lots of parking right in front of the building so this was great not to have to worry about. Oh and critical as well is internet and that was not an issue either which is not the case in many places here in Poland.
The other perk of this apartment is that it is within walking distance of a few convenience stores, buses, trams and a AMAZING Polish restaurant (based on her recommendation we ate at one night). I HIGHLY recommend her place for you to stay at.
Now the one and only thing that could drive some people crazy is the lack of a TV. For us we are on vacation to explore a city so it was no big deal to us not having one because we were out and about most of the time. For our little ones we had our tablet so they were able to watch Youtube (because of the great internet connection) so we were set for quiet time before bed time.
AND if you forget something (like your laptop bag, like me!!) she will let you know. I was able to meet up with her 2 days later to pick it up. Good thing we live close, huh?
I was compensated 1 night of our 2 night stay at her apartment for this post review but she is AMAZING to deal with and I have nothing to bad to stay about her place or her!
So if you have ever in Poznan, Poland for a visit and you need a place to stay, this is the place.
