Oh, what a morning
Yesterday it was time for my monthly coffee get-together with the other women from the military base where my husband works to learn more about each other’s cultures, raise some money for local charities and most importantly eating food from the host country!
This month the USA ladies got together the Canadian lady and made a North America coffee morning.
The tables are themed US/.Canada.
To decorate the table I put out a ton of postcards from all over the USA that we have collected.
I found these napkins a few months ago at a local grocery store here down the street from my house. How crazy is this?
Love this group of ladies and one of the reasons why I love living here.
Of course there is going to be food. Ranch vegetable dip made with Greek yogurt(healthier for you) was a hit and a great excuse to use my American themed Polish pottery. Then one of the other US wives saw these Valentine jello squares and made them. They were AMAZING!!
Here we are learning some interesting facts about Canada. Of course growing up right on the border to Canada I knew most of it. She did forget to mention that Canadian Oreo cookies are the best. Yes, each countries are just a wee bit different.
Look what I won!!! Maple sugar fix is going to be happening soon in our house.
Of course I did my nails to go with the day.
Oh, what a morning it was with a great group of ladies!
I can’t wait for next month as it going to be hosted by the Slovakia and Czech Republic ladies.
When you think of American food, what comes to mind?
