Our Final Home Volleyball Game!

Our Final Home Volleyball Game!

It is hard to believe but Wednesday night was probably the last home game for the KS Palac volleyball team for the 2012-2013 season.  AND there is a good chance it was our last game to watch them too as the final 2 games are away and I do not think we will be able to go to them.

The night was bittersweet to watch our newest family member Rachael play in the last volleyball game that we would see.  We have so enjoyed learning more about volleyball than I could have ever imagined, let alone professional women’s volleyball.

Unfortunately the team lost 1-3 to the Pila team but it was a good game.

You wonder how non-polish speakers can play professional volleyball in Poland? With GREAT teammates who help translate the plays you cannot understand completely.

Going up for the spike!

Cotton candy anyone? I think that is one of the reasons why my kids enjoy going to the game(beside seeing Miss Rachael).

Oh the many faces of Rachael! This one is one of my favorites.

What else am I going to miss? The head coach of the team and all his emotion during the games! You think he is a bit frustrated right about then?

This is one of Rachael's biggest fans who always brings her some kind of sweets at the end of game. I love hearing(and some times eating) what he brought that game.

I still cannot believe it is the end of the season for the team and then that means we will be saying good-bye to Miss Rachael in the next couple of weeks. When we will get to see her next is still up in the air whether it is in the US or back here in Europe.  But I know we being her sooner than later!

What your favorite sport to watch?  Me, a good soccer game!

love kelley

I’ve sent you email on address I found on your google profile kkagele@gmail.com ;) I don’t know if you still use it? I couldn’t find an address here.
Soccer… I love, only volleyball can compare to football in terms of emotions during the match :D Vavourite leagues? Spanish LaLiga and english Premiership foreva! Teams: Barca and also Manchester United and Arsenal :) Barca favoutite since 1999. But a sport I have biggest connection to and most knowledge about is tennis. I also love watching winter sports, cross-country, ski jumping, biathlon, alpine skiing and sometimes freestyle competition like ski-cross or snowboard-cross, great fun to watch! Of course volleyball has special place in my heart and because of childhood – very popular in Poland – speedway! 4 guys on special motor bikes (no brakes!) competeing in teams or invidual matches, 15 races (in Polish league) on distance of 4 laps (always) which usually take around 55-65 seconds. American rider, Greg Hancock is two times world champion and guess what? This year he transfered to Bydgoszcz team! :D But it’s very, very hard to catch up with the riders because they compete in 3 leagues a week (British, Swedish, Danish, Russian, German – depends on choice) and whole travelling causes that they spend in Poland 1-2 days and move on. He has a house in Sweden as far as I know ;) Ok enough – I could go on about sport forever… time to sleep ;)
