She came home

What a fun and crazy weekend we had!  Why?

She came home!

Look who came into town! Rachael and Kim

My favorite adopted daughter, Rachael was playing volleyball here this weekend.  The team she is playing on this year, MKS Dabrowa, is ONLY a 6 hour drive away!  So needless to say we don’t see her as much as we did last year when she was 10 minutes away.

Her team was here playing against the Bydgoszcz team, KS Palac, which is her old team from last year.  Unfortunately we didn’t get to spend to much time together as her team had a brand new coach who literally started the day before, so there was lots of meetings for them over the weekend.

The girls were a wee bit excited that Rachael was coming into town, so "L" made some of Rachael favorite cookies. I am not sure if she was more excited to Rachael or the while chocolate she was bring for "L" from her Switzerland trip a few days earlier.

It was Kim's birthday so the girls made her a special cookie cake and wanted to give a candy cane for a gift(why, I am still trying to figure that one out but that is what they picked for her at the store.)

After the game it was off to the hotel for another chat with Rachael before she had to get on the bus and head back home and Kim drove back to Sopot.

I didn’t realize how much I miss watching volleyball games as we haven’t really been to any except for 2 this whole season.  I think we need to get a few on our calendar!
