Time to Cook…Hot Apple Cider (Sok Jabłkowy Rozgrzany z Cynamon)

Being the holiday season it is time to cook…Hot Apple Cider!  I have had a few get-together’s at my house the past couple of weeks and so to show my friends some American traditions of the holiday season I thought apple cider is good one.  I love it because I am able to get all the ingredients right here in Poland or any country for that matter!

Now time to sit back and enjoy a cup!!

I got this recipe a while ago from a friend and have been using it ever since! Who would have ever thought apple and pineapple juice mixed together would be AMAZING!!

While crock-pots are REALLY American so when my friends come over and they see one they always what is that? They had them when we were in The Netherlands but they were expensive (like 3 times the price we pay in the US)! So if you are reading this and you do not have a crock-pot you can cook it on your stove top too!

Well enough talking, let’s make some hot apple cider!!!

You only need 4 ingredients!
2 liters of apple juice
1 liter of pineapple juice
3 cinnamon sticks
a couple of sprinkles of ground cloves

First, pour in the apple juice.

Second, pour in the pineapple juice.

Next, add a couple shakes of ground cloves and then do a quick stir.

Finally, drop in the cinnamon sticks.

If you are cooking the cider in a crock-pot turn it on to high for 3 to 4 hours. Or, you can cook it on your stove top for 2 to 3 hours on medium high (no need to bring it to a boil!)

Now time to sit back and enjoy a cup!!

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!!  Now I am off to start my Christmas cookie baking, yet another US holiday tradition I have brought with me to Poland!  I hope my neighbors enjoy the receiving end of this tradition!

What is your favorite cookie to eat during the holiday season?  Mine, Peanut Butter Blossoms!

love kelley
