Time to Eat in Boleslawiec Poland

After a long day of shopping for Polish pottery it is time for a good Polish food.  In Boleslawiec there is an AMAZING restaurant that you need to stop and try Polish food if you go there.

Opalkowa Chata needs to be on your places to stop at when in Boleslawiec just like all the pottery shops.

Yes, I have eaten at my share of Polish restaurants throughout Poland this one is high on my favorite list.

Every time I go to Boleslawiec I make sure I stop here for a bit to eat.  Why?  You look at these pictures and tell me you wouldn’t want to eat here over and over again?

Restaurants don't get much cuter than this!

My potato pancake with goulash in the middle. One work describes it...AMAZING!!

My potato pancake with goulash in the middle. One word describes it…AMAZING!! This is 18 zloty ($5.75)

Golabki almost as good my homemade ones but for 18 zloty($5.75) it is much easier and quicker.

Our strawberry pierogies which were HEAVENLY!

Another trip there with some friends we wanted to have a quick lunch.  It was extremely warm so we did not want anything to heavy so the 4 of us split 2 orders of fruit pierogies, blueberry and strawberry. Our strawberry pierogies were HEAVENLY(blueberry was too)! Only 17 zloty ($5.50) for them.  Sorry Mrs. T’s pierogies, I will never eat you again.

Honey liquor

Very popular here in Poland is this honey liquor called Miodula. I don’t drink but the friends I was with one of my trips there, loved it!  It did smell good though.

If you only one restaurant to eat at while you are in Poland, make this the one.  I promise you won’t regret it. As you can tell by the pictures I have eaten there a few times when I go to Boleslawiec especially when I have friends visiting for a short time in Poland.

I can’t think of a time when I didn’t have a waitress who doesn’t speak English and the menu is in English so there is no language barrier there!  The staff there are so friendly and the restaurant itself inside is just as wonderful.

The address to this piece of heaven is Augusta Cieszowskiego 17.  It on a major road so it is VERY easy to find.  There is lots of room for parking so no worries there.

Just for disclosure, I was NOT compensated for this post, I just wanted to let all of you who read this blog for tips for Polish pottery shopping in Boleslawiec to put this restaurant on your list of things to do! Restaurants in Poland don’t get much better than this.

What is your favorite Polish food to eat?  Mine is pierogies!

Come to think of it…I don’t think I have a favorite. I like bigos as much as pierogi or golabki or anything else. I just like food, and that’s my problem :)

I’d like to try the fruit pierogies. I’ve only had potato ones.
