Treasure Hunting in Bydgoszcz
When moving into a new house means that you need new furniture to fit into the new shape and sizes of rooms. I need some more storage in this house as I was spoiled in my last two houses as they had some built-in. I love antique and second-hand furniture as most of our house is. So I headed out one day with a friend to check out some 2 hand furniture stores to see what I could find!
Just a few fixer uppers.
I so wanted these for my entry way! But they were already sold.
Let the hunt being.
I need a bigger house.
This one was HUGE!
The outside of one of them.
This was at another store. One of my uncles had one of these growing up. I used to love playing with the dripping oil on the lines going down. This one had a few busted cords or I would have been all over this.
I fell in love with this but no idea where I would put it.
And another store.
I liked this too but it way on big side both in size and price.
Now did I find any treasures? Of course I did!
I got this neat piece for a whole 50 zlotys($17)! I need to refinish it but not sure how yet.
This was my big find!! It was in perfect condition I do not need to do a thing to it.
Then this was my final purchase for the day, an old bread bowl. Saw one in a Pier 1 catalog for $150!! I paid a whole $10. Not what to do with it.
I was talking to a friend the other night about my treasures and she told me of 2 other stores here in town. Oh, I am in trouble now!
Are you treasure seeker? Me, I love trench art and living in Europe, I am in the perfect place to find it.
