Hi my name is Kelley and I am a Polish pottery addict! I am not going to lie…I LOVE Polish pottery. I fell in love with it even before moving here to Poland.
One of the stores that is always on the top of my priority list when I go to Boleslawiec is Ceramika Artystyczna. Why? They have AMAZING patterns as well as prices.
I have been to this factory store several times before and I don’t think I have ever been there when they don’t have a selection. They always have a great selection to choose from.
Let’s go shopping in Artystyczna!
Welcome to pottery heaven! This is their store.
Right next door is the factory.
Oh, where to start? It is narrow but long. As you can see they have a HUGE selection. Don’t forget to look under the tables in the middle as you never what deals you might find.
They don’t have the pottery sorted by pattern but by the same type. So you if you are looking for a certain pattern be prepared to dig! It is not uncommon to find people sitting on the floor digging for their specific pattern.
I love these but a clue if I would ever use them. Notice colored stickers on the different pieces? They state what category the piece is.
Is this not beautiful? If you are looking for unique Unikat piece…this is the place! Some of the pieces are pieces of art and there is no way I could actually use them in my kitchen.
Guess what the girls teachers got for end of the school year gifts? Apple bakers with some home-made goodies inside.
I told you they have truly unique patterns.
I always take a picture(s) of my purchase at each store so I can remember what I bought before they box it up. By store #3 I forget what I purchased from the other previous stores. Here are a few of pieces that I bought at my last trip there.
Another tip when shopping in Boleslawiec…look for what exchange rate they are giving. Some defiantly give better rates then others!
I paid 65 zloty ($21) for this big oval dish which was in perfect condition.
They had a ton of these oval baking dishes on special for 89 zloty($29). The deal was too good to pass up. Not sure what I am going to do with it as it is too big for my oven.
My friend is a HUGE ocean themed person and few in love with this bowl. 120 zloty($39) later it was her’s. Not sure once again why this is marked a category 4.
This decent size pot with lid was 90 zloty($29)! With the green sticker on it means it is a category 2 piece. I found it in perfect condition so I had to get it.
This chip and dip bowl was 57 zloty($18). This was marked a category 4 but I could not find a thing wrong with it.
This truly one of a kind dish was 55 zloty($18). I have never seen a dish with this shape or pattern before, I am in love! Once again this was a category 4 by the sticker but I found it to be in perfect condition.
A new mixing bowl to add to my kitchen and for only 54 zloty($17)!!!
This is the logo that you will find on the bottom of pieces made by them.
Where is the discount stuff? It all over in this store. They mix it all together, so you are going to have to dig for your bargains.
Parking is a bit of an issue for this place especially on the weekends. Directly in front of the store is 3 or 4 spaces, so the best bet is to park across the street and walk over or to park at the “White Picket Fence” store and walk over.
They take US dollars and Euros but change is given in Zlotys. They also take credit cards!!!
They are open Monday-Friday from 09:00-17:00 and Saturday from 08:00-14:00. Notice they are not open on Sundays and close early on Saturdays!!
Their address is Kosciuszki 23, Boleslawiec
