It is finally here…. Wesołych Świąt or Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
On Saturday we had our annual church Christmas party, which is one of the highlights of the year for us. You can tell everyone who helps plan this event puts a lot of hard work into the part, whether its cooking, planning games or planning a few surprises. This year once again was no exception!
The set-up crew hard at work.
We had a full house for this party. We actually ran out of chairs and to set up more, a wonderful thing!
Our church bishop giving us a few words to think about during this holiday season.
It is not a Mormon party without lots of food and boy we had lots!
It is not a Polish Christmas party without Bigos.
No Polish dinner would be complete without homemade perogies! Pure heaven!!
Not sure how so many Polish people can like chocolate covered gingerbread but they do.
Traditional Polish Christmas desert, poppy seed cake, Makowiec
Then it was time for some games. Here “E” is playing a Christmas quiz game in Polish with no one translating for her.
Jim and I got picked to play a Christmas Newlywed game.
The missionaries got picked to play a Christmas song charades game. This was so much fun!
Why are Polish Christmas songs tongue twisters?
Best part of the party according the kids, goodie bags from their Sunday school teacher!
“Dad can I please have one more cookie?”
I haven’t laughed or ate that much in a very long time. Yet another wonderful Christmas party here in Poland!
