I have gotten several emails and Facebook posts asking if I am still here…..well, I am!
I mentioned a few months ago that I started working as an English teacher here in town. At first it started as just a fun couple of hours and now several months later now a lot more hours than I ever imagined(hence the reason for my lack of blogging). I am LOVING every minute of teaching. I also have started another job as of last week working for an American charity that helping youth here in Poland but once they formally announce it I will let you in on it.
Well besides working I have been busy with family things, crafting, volunteering, church stuff and sightseeing!!
Here are just a few pictures of my adventures from the past month….

A night of a 200 pierogies in the making during a periogi class with our church missionaries.

Homemade periogies are the best!

Spent a few hours at the orphanage here in town.

Would this sweet and innocent face do anything wrong? No I didn’t get busted for anything, it was part of car show that I went to.

We did a quick power sightseeing trip in Krakow when I was down there for work.

These views in Poland never grow old on me.

We visited a few museums over the past few weeks.

Yes, there was some Polish pottery shopping as well

Here is a night in one of my English classes. That night we were working a few cooking words while making some salads.

The weather has been really nice here the last few weeks so we have gone on a few walks together.

“A” held her birthday party at a local bowling alley.

Just of one of my craft projects I am been making. This one is in process of completion.
Yes, life has been crazy in my house lately. I promise to blog a bit more often because even after living here for 3 and 1/2 years my life here is still living up to my blogs name…”Never a Dull Day in Poland.”
Where did your April go?

Welcome back to your weblog!
Thanks!
Hai Kelly,
Our april was full of celebrations. the birthday of my husband and two of our daughters.
And our wedding anniversery on the same day of our youngest daugther.
We are preparing the wedding of one of our daughters in june.
And the best of april: every wednesday our grandson is staying with us, while his parents are at school. Teaching.
Hoping for some sunny days in august, when we come to Poland, and visit the Pottery Days in Boleslawiec and go on the river Dunajec on a raft.
Greeting from Holland!
Congratulations on the up coming wedding! Oh I hope you enjoy festival as much as I did. Where in the Netherlands are you living? I lived in Hoensbroek for 6 WONDERFUL years.
We live near Breda on Oosterhout
That is a wonderful area!
Hi Kelly! My husband and I will be coming to Wroclaw on August 20 to visit friends for a week. I’m going to try and catch the last day of the pottery festival and I’m so excited! How far are you from Wroclaw? Just curious if it would be close enough for a visit. Hope to hear from you soon!
Robin, Wroclaw is just over an hour west of Boleslawiec. I am about 4.5 hours away from there which is good and bad at the same time so a quick visit would be hard. Thanks for offering though!
I was born in Poland and am going for a visit in June. I thought about coming back to teach English casually. How are you finding the teaching? I would be interested in teaching people who already speak decent English. Any insight? Thanks
I LOVE teaching English here! It depends on where you plan on settling in Poland if teaching English will be easy or not. Big cities it will be easier compared to smaller ones. It is hard to get started into unless you know someone that already works at a school or that you have Polish friends that want to learn and then they help spread the word. If you don’t have contacts here then have a English teaching certificate will make it much easier to find a job. Good Luck!!
Wow! glad you started your teaching career. How is your experience so far?
